Is Mela vegan?
Mela is proud to be PETA-Approved Vegan. All Mela® products are made with sustainable, plant-based materials.
Is the leather really made from apples?
Yes! Our apple leather is made in Italy using the organic waste from apple juicing. The resulting apple leather is sustainable and versatile.
How is apple leather made?
Apple leather is made from the waste by-products of the juicing industry. The high cellulose content of the apple solids creates a soft and durable fabric that looks and feels luxurious.
Why is apple leather better for you, and the world?
The great thing about apple leather is that it’s made by using by-products! It turns the waste from apple juicing into something functional and versatile.

How do I care for my Mela?
We make caring for your Mela® products easy! Just use mild soap + water mixture and wipe down regularly with a clean cloth.
How has Mela committed to sustainability?
Mela will always be committed to the environment and ethical practices. We use high-quality, plant-based leather and produce everything in small, limited batches to minimize waste. A passion for fashion means nothing if we cannot ignite that same flame for generations to come.
Can I cancel my order?
We work fast to process your orders so you can get your Mela® at no time. Unfortunately once an order has been confirmed, it cannot be cancelled. If you would like to return your order, you can follow our instructions here.
Can I change my order to add or remove items?
Unfortunately we cannot make any changes to your order once it’s been confirmed. To purchase additional items, you must place a new order.
Which payment methods do you accept?
You can purchase on our website using a debit or credit card. We additionally accept Paypal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. You can choose these payment methods at checkout.
